Our client, a Bromsgrove based business services provider requires an Accountant/Bookkeeper to work part-time (25 hours per week) as maternity cover until September/October.
The main responsibilities include:
Maintaining the nominal ledger, ensuring all entries from prime sources are promptly posted.
Preparing and inputting reserves, accruals and prepayments monthly.
Generating monthly management accounts in accordance with set deadlines.
Maintaining monthly reconciliations for all nominal control accounts.
Producing and submitting quarterly VAT returns.
The role requires a good accounts all-rounder with a hands on approach, willing to offer support/cover where necessary on payroll, purchase ledger and credit control.
Applications are invited from persons either AAT qualified/part qualified, ACCA/ACA part qualified, or qualified by experience gained in a similar SME background. It is essential applicants are experienced and fully familiar with Sage Line 50 and highly competent using Excel.
In return the company will offer a salary in the region of 23,000, pro-rata, plus benefits.
