Our client, operaters of one of the UKs largest European Road Freight Networks, providing coverage across the whole continent, seeks a Freight Account Manager as part of their ongoing expansion plans
The main purpose of the job is to achieve profit growth through the effective management of new and existing customer accounts. Key responsibilities are: to consistently grow the revenue and achieve the targets as set; achieve sales productivity and revenue targets; maximise all revenue opportunities from existing customers by proactively pursuing undeveloped areas; generate new prospect leads and new accounts over the telephone and face-to-face; generate new prospect leads for the Sales and Marketing system using external sources; process consignments and enter telesales information onto the Sales and Marketing system; monitor consignments ensuring that the highest levels of service are carried out at every stage; provide customers with accurate and cost effective quotations.
To apply for this role you should ideally have at least 12 months experience of working within a proactive outbound sales role either on the phone or face-to-face and be experienced of working to targets and deadlines.
